How Can Therapy Help?

At different points in our lives, we all face challenges that can feel really hard to manage. Especially during times of transition, such as divorce or moving on after a significant loss or at times of change.

All sorts of challenging life experiences can affect our mental health, sometimes causing us to respond with anxiety and depression. These moments can leave us feeling helpless, uncertain, or maybe just disconnected. We can find navigating the symptoms of our distress that are manifesting in issues like anxiety, stress and depression intolerably difficult.

This is where therapy can be so helpful in giving us the space and time where we can be supported in working out what has happened, learn how to manage the symptoms of our distress and go on to work out what kind of changes we wish to make going forward.

Working with a therapist can support the growth of self esteem and confidence, and give the insight and tools to create a happier life that is more attuned to our true being.

Therapy offers clients a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and compassionate. I also like to support clients in understanding the ways the body responds to stress, offering my clients proven strategies from CBT and somatic experiencing to notice, understand and manage the symptoms of anxiety and depression
