How Can Therapy Help?
At different points in our lives, we all face challenges that can feel really hard to manage. Especially during times of transition, such as divorce or moving on after a significant loss or at time of change.
All sorts of challenging life experiences can affect our mental health, sometimes creating anxiety and depression. These moments can leave us feeling helpless, uncertain, or maybe just disconnected. We can find navigating the symptoms of our distress like anxiety, stress and depression incredibly difficult, and this in turn can make us feel helpless to make changes.
This is where therapy can help, by giving us the space and time where we can be supported in working out what has happened, learn how to manage the symptoms of our distress and go on to work out what kind of changes we wish to make going forward.
Working with a therapist can support the growth of self esteem and confidence, and give the insight and tools to create a happier life that is more attuned to our true being.
Therapy offers clients a reliable, supportive and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and compassionate. I also support clients in understanding the ways the body responds to emotional stress and trauma, offering proven strategies from CBT, Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness which helps clients notice, understand and manage their mental health challenges.
